BTAC will end daily 5-scale forecasts on April 20th and begin General Snow and Avalanche Information Bulletins on Sunday, the 21st that will run until May. The General Bulletin will be released as needed or twice per week for incoming snow storms and other significant changes in forecasted avalanche danger brought about by weather like protracted warming or rain. We will also summarize weather and snowfall daily and publish it on our Weather page. Seasonal employees will be moving on to other work but several staff will remain working to accomplish the necessary field work to support an accurate General Bulletin and perform end-of-season weather station maintenance. We will also be field testing a phone app to better provide information on mobile devices. Please keep your observations coming during this time!
